Sophie Bean Tang, a web designer based in Hong Kong. After getting an 3A in GCEAL while she studied in UK, Sophie decided to return to Hong Kong for her further education. She had her Bachelor degree in Visual Communication Design from School of Design, Hong Kong Polytechnic University. In her second year of study, she is also awarded Dr. Tang Kui Ming Scholarship and had been nominated to attend an exchange programme of Graphic Design at University of the West of England, Bristol, United Kingdom.

Sophie started her career as a graphic designer in Majo Design, a local graphic agency which focuses on art and cultural projects such as Hong Kong Art Gallery Week, deTour and Around Sound Art Festival. Then she continues to challenge herself of being a book designer in the largest publishing company in Hong Kong, the Joint Publishing (HK) Ltd. After that, she was working in Twist HK, a luxury fashion select store in Hong Kong as a Web/Graphic designer. In the meanwhile, she has been awarded Design NextGen Awards, HKDA Global Design Awards from Hong Kong Designer Association.

The deeper Sophie dipped into the world of Digital Design, the more she wanted to learn. Therefore she attended a course to learn html, CSS and Javascript in her leisure time. The knowledge of frontend development had equipped her well to be a web designer in Jazzup Hong Kong, where she involved in web development and UX consultancy a lot.

She also achieved the N3 level of Japanese-Language Proficiency Test and going to take the N2 test in the end of the year of 2021.

Sophie hopes her capability in web design, publication design and Japanese can be great assets in her future career and she is looking forward to take more challenges.
